Delete orders is a missing basic functionality in magento!
Easy to delete order in backend seamlessly through the Action dropdown box on the native Order Manager.
Community Edition: 1.4.x, 1.5.x, 1.6.x, 1.7.x
Magento by default does not provide a function to delete orders. You can use this extension to upgrade the function for delete orders and to delete test orders.
Unlike as many tips given in various forums to delete orders, you need not to make any dangerous operations in your database.
Just delete orders direct in the database can be very dangerous, because Magento has a very complex database structure and many database tables are linked with so-called "keys". If even one of these "Keys" by an improper delete is defective, it can happen that the entire database does not work anymore and as result the database would be useless!
The next major disadvantage of many instructions on how to delete orders is that almost all of these instructions refer to delete all orders.
But what if you just want to delete only a few orders?
When you are testing a new shop or a payment modul, often it is needed to make a lot test orders. But nobody likes to give all this test orders later to a client, so you need a sloution easily to remove all test orders.
Another example would be if you only want to delete some individual orders instead of all orders.
Often orders must be deleted from Magento backend, because to prevent questions of the tax office!

For an e-commerce owner, an option for deleting orders is a must-have. For Magento, this particular module is as useful as it gets. I had some grey hair removing my "dummy orders" from the Magento setup and even after opening the shop. With the Delete Orders-extension it is just that simple to remove the necessary orders & it does it from any connected module of the shop. Highly recommended extension to any Magento user!

This module is easy to install and helps you to clean your Magento database from any test orders, invoices and all that stuff before you transfer it to a live system. But I recommend though not to use this extension on a live system - just to avoid accidentally deleting datasets from your store.
